Getting Started
Create your account, connect a payment provider, and send your first payment link.
Getting Started
Rheopay gets you from sign-up to first payment in a few steps. This guide walks you through the essentials.
1. Create your account
Go to the Rheopay sign-up page and register with your email address and a password. After registering you will be logged in as the Owner of your merchant account.
We recommend enabling two-factor authentication immediately after sign-up. Go to Settings → Security to turn it on.
2. Connect a payment provider
Before you can collect real payments, you need to connect at least one payment service provider (PSP).
Go to Settings → Payment Providers and choose from:
- Stripe — recommended for most merchants
- Mollie
- PayPal
- Adyen
- Square
Each provider requires credentials from your provider account (API keys, client IDs, or webhook secrets). See Payment Providers for step-by-step setup instructions for each one.
Most providers let you use test credentials to try the full flow without real money. Use test credentials while getting set up.
3. Create your first payment link
- Click New Link in the dashboard.
- Fill in a description and amount (or leave amount blank to let the customer enter it).
- Select a currency.
- Optionally add a customer name and email, an expiry date, or a maximum number of uses.
- Click Create to save the link as a draft, or Activate to make it live immediately.
The link is assigned a unique URL your customer can open in any browser.
4. Send the link
You can share the link in any of these ways:
- Copy link — paste it into any message, chat, or email manually.
- Send by email — enter a customer email directly on the link and Rheopay delivers it for you. See Email & Communication.
- QR code — download the QR code from the link detail page for print or in-person use.
5. Get paid
When the customer opens the link they see your branded payment page and can pay using the method(s) available from your connected provider. Once payment is confirmed:
- The link status changes to Paid.
- A receipt is emailed to the customer.
- The transaction appears in Transactions and in your Analytics dashboard.
